Christopher Nolan’s original sci-fi action film, Tenet, starring John David Washington dropped another trailer today. Out of all places it was released on Fortnite. While most other films have continued to keep being pushed back due to movie theaters still being closed, Warner Bros. has stuck to their July release date. They are hoping that this cinematic adventure with Inception vibes can bring back audiences out of their homes and into the movies. You can check out the new trailer above!
With their supposed release date close, the new trailer gives us a better look at what Tenet has in store for us. As we had already known by the previous trailer, it will be focusing on some type of time manipulation. The trailer tells us that this manipulation is called, inversion. One example we see is that instead of a bullet being shot from a gun, we watch the bullet go back to the gun. I am sure that we’ll get a better explanation in the film.
The mission seems to be to try and prevent World War III from becoming a reality. Washington’s character and allies are trying to track down a Russian national, played by Kenneth Brangah. He can communicate with the future. It looks like it’s going to be an action-packed film as they attempt to bring him down. By the end of the trailer we even see them crash a large airplane into a hanger.
For now Tenet has a July 16th release date. It will be interesting to see if this film can make it onto the bring screen at that time. Different places around the country and the world are opening up at different times. It’s going to be up to the major theater chains to decide if they are going to be able to open at that time. Also will people want to go back to theaters so soon? That is another big question. For now it’s all wait and see as everything seems to change daily.
