The Snyder Cut of Justice League is as real as Henry Cavill’s problematic mustache. Zack Snyder recently released a teaser of the upcoming film. And there’s likely to be more such content available in the coming months. Finally, fans will get to see the vision Zach Snyder intended to give audiences all along.
Actor Henry Cavill, who plays Superman recently spoke with Variety (he was actually interviewed by Patrick Stewart). Cavill was asked what he knows about the version of Justice League coming to HBO Max next year. You can check out what he had to say below.
“Oh the Snyder Cut, the famous-slash-infamous-slash-all-sorts-of-things Snyder Cut. I can’t really tell you anything aside from the fact that all I know is that HBO Max will be releasing it, I believe, and it’ll be Zack’s final vision for the movie, and I don’t know anything more than that.
“I’m just really happy that Zack got to realize his vision. think it’s important for a filmmaker and a storyteller to have their intended vision released and shown to the world, and I’m looking forward to seeing it myself. It’s been quite the ordeal.”
I am interested to see just how drastic a change there will be from the theatrical release that was more Joss Whedon’s version of the film. Snyder must have tons of unused footage to make the whole project worthwhile, to be able to set his version apart without doing any reshoots.
While Wonder Woman and Shazam! did much to sort of reset DC, the Snyder Cut could be the biggest gamechanger of all. Especially considering the latest news of Michael Keaton returning as Batman for multiple films, it sounds like DC is becoming stronger than ever.
